The 3D preview relies on WebGL, a new graphics technology that's available in the latest versions of all the major browsers.

Safari

  1. Choose "Preferences" from the Safari menu.
  2. Click "Advanced"
  3. Check "Show Develop menu"
  4. Now go to the Develop menu and click "Enable WebGL"

Google Chrome

WebGL is enabled by default in Chrome for most recent graphics cards. However, there are some cases where WebGL may not be available. See Chrome WebGL Help for more information.

Firefox

WebGL is enabled by default in Firefox 4 and higher. If webGL is not enabled, you can enable it manually:
  1. Go to "Preferences" under the Firefox menu
  2. Click "Advanced"
  3. Under the "General" tab, check "Use hardware acceleration when available"
  4. Restart Firefox

Internet Explorer

WebGL is only available for IE 11 and higher. You'll need to either upgrade to IE 11 or try a different browser, like Google Chrome.

We can't import SVG text

Due to variations in fonts, Easel does not currently support importing SVG text elements. However, you can still import your custom text with a custom font, you just need to follow these steps:

  • Adobe Illustrator

    Select all objects and select Object -> Expand

  • Inkscape

    Select all objects and use the keyboard command Ctrl+Shift+C

  • Other programs

    You need to convert your text into paths, which means making it un-editable as text. If there is an equivalent to 'Create Outlines' or 'Expand', that is what you are looking for.
